Within the first 8 months of the partnership, the Maui Jim Corporate Gifting team saw a 4:1 ROI.

After 12 months of working together, this figure is now 6:1 and the mutual goal is to achieve a 10:1 ROI ratio.

ENGAGEMENT

The Unwrapit Experience was sent to over 12,000 recipients in 2022 with an average claim rate of 88%. This is significantly higher than the industry average "open rates" when comparing engagement within the Unwrapit platform to others in the digital marketing sector.

OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCIES

The Unwrapit platform has significantly reduced time spent on internal logistics allowing more time on higher-value activities

Prior to using Unwrapit the fulfillment team required up to 30 minutes or more to pull a single program report for fulfillment. Custom reports can now be exported from Unwrapit and imported to the ERP  in just a few minutes and customers can see the report at all times, making verification seamless.


FRICTIONLESS RECIPIENT EXPERIENCE

Less than 3% of end-users (recipients) required technical support. This demonstrates the recipient-focused ease-of-use of the Unwrapit platform. The large majority of support queries relate to delivery information or  specific product/style queries.

Unwrapit has worked alongside the Maui Jim Corporate Gifting team to continuously develop features and streamline processes to benefit the end recipient, the Maui Jim and Zeal Optics sales team and their respective corporate gifting customers.

Objectives

The Maui Jim Corporate Gifting team was searching for a digital customer experience tool. It needed to offer on-brand corporate gifting experiences to customers to use in conjunction with or seperate to the on-site gifting experience.

Previous internal solutions were difficult to execute, time-consuming to fulfill, and ultimately weren't in line with the premium brand experience Maui Jim is known for.

There were a number of requirements:

  • an interactive and engaging experience for gift recipients
  • capable of showing an assortment of sunglass options within a gift program
  • aligned to the Maui Jim brand
  • ability to capture accurate shipping information details
  • reports custom formatted for existing fulfillment systems

Solutions & Results

The Maui Jim team worked with Unwrapit to create a templated digital experience that was branded for both brands. This created a scalable digital solution that enabled Maui Jim to feature their customer's marketing assets throughout the platform, creating a unique co-branded marketing experience.

The interactive nature of the platform is showcased using a personalized to/from message, gamification of the unwrapping experience and features such as the ability to high five the gifting company to say 'thanks'!

The Unwrapit team fulfilled all requirements and in addition:

  • created both admin and customer view reports (showing campaigns in real-time)
  • built out capabilities for auto-import of recipients
  • support a "curated choice is the sustainable choice" model whereby everyone gets to select the gift they want
