Unwrapit is a virtual gifting platform that helps organizations spark and maintain meaningful connections through a fun, easy- to-use ‘unwrapit’ experience. Our gifts can be offered at scale. They are digital, experiential, charitable and practical. They’re never physical and don’t require shipping logistics and therefore won’t end up in landfill.
We're tackling conventional corporate and event gifting in a virtual way. We think that the traditional ways of giving in this context are being rendered obsolete.
That's a bold statement. We agree! But here's why we think this.
1. We live in a digital-first world - more people are working from home and will continue to do so beyond 2021. They're attending events virtually, they're talking to clients over video chat, their team may no longer all be in the same geographical area. Sending physical gifts, while lovely, is no longer as easy to do. And sending them at scale, near impossible.
2. The world is finally waking up to the climate crisis in a bigger way and generally, people are more conscious of sustainability and making more eco-friendly choices. Our platform is solving a stuff problem. An often quoted Forbes article told us in 2019 that the business of corporate gifting was a whopping $125 billion (with a B!). The vast majority of that is physical gifts, eventually destined for landfill. And in that case, all of it must also be manufactured, packaged and shipped.
3. One simple statement - consumer behaviour. Personalization is key when giving gifts and what better way to offer that than through a customized unwrap experience, and giving your recipient the opportunity to choose a gift that they like best.
