Enviro-Stewards Inc. is a founding Canadian B Corporation with a hybrid mission to cultivate resilient business (through our engineering work) and to improve lives (through our work training & equipping with Safe Water Social Ventures).
Our safe water work helps rural poor families, who are overlooked by most water programs (as these families also lack piped water, electricity and the financial means to maintain complex water purifiers). Local teams construct biosand water purifiers (using locally available materials) and install them in homes. These purifiers require no electricity, chemicals or consumable parts to operate and purify water for up to 25 years. On average each (rural poor) family of 6 saves about $40 each year that they are currently spending to treat water related illnesses.
